The next Call of Duty zombie experience, Firebase Z, arrives on February 4. That's next week! So if you've been exploring the myriad secrets, weapons, and barrels of Juggernog that Die Maschine has been serving up, maybe you're ready for a new zombie map. The update is free and won't require any additional purchases on top of the core Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Get ready to head into the undead-filled jungles of Vietnam!

 

The trailer shows a small band of special forces soldiers who get transported through a Dark Aether portal and into a zombie nightmare. From there the trailer turns into a zombie-killing montage that shows off some of the locations from Firebase Z. It looks like the map will be pretty big and encompass most of a small military outpost. The trailer also ends with the arrival of a massive zombie cyclops that shoots a laser out of its eyes, which seems like it might be one of the most threatening enemies every included in a Zombies map.

 

The trailer also gives us a short glimpse of some of the new weapons that will be on offer across the map including an assault rifle that appears to shoot some kind of energy grenade. Of course, there will also be plenty of options for Pack-A-Punch, which should make a return here, and there’s sure to be another complicated Easter egg for players to sink their teeth into once the map is actually released.
